About the Maccabee Bar

The Maccabee Bar Association of Central Florida, Inc. is a Florida-based professional organization recognized as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization dedicated to seven purposes:

  • Actively promoting the advancement and recognition of the Association’s members in the legal profession in Florida;
  • Expanding and encouraging leadership and involvement of Jewish attorneys,
    magistrates, hearing officers and judges in the Central Florida legal community;
  • Furthering the common interests of and encouraging camaraderie among Jewish attorneys and judges in Central Florida, including community service projects and charitable causes;
  • Facilitating networking opportunities among the Association’s members;
  • Educating the Central Florida legal community and public on historic Jewish law and legal history;
  • Supporting the legal rights of Jewish attorneys and judges in Central Florida; and
  • Upholding the highest standards of integrity, ethics, honor, and courtesy of the Association’s members in the legal profession.

Absolutely not; the Association is an inclusive organization. Any attorney, judge, magistrate, arbitrator, mediator or hearing officer in good standing with any  mandatory bar association located within the United States is eligible to apply for membership. The Association welcomes members, and encourages membership, from all faiths and backgrounds.
