About the Maccabee Bar
The Maccabee Bar Association of Florida, Inc. is a Florida-based professional organization with a pending 501(c)(3) application dedicated to seven purposes:
- Actively promoting the advancement and recognition of the Association’s members in the legal profession in Florida;
- Expanding and encouraging leadership and involvement of Jewish attorneys,
magistrates, hearing officers and judges in the Florida legal community; - Furthering the common interests of and encouraging camaraderie among Jewish attorneys and judges in Florida, including community service projects and charitable causes;
- Facilitating networking opportunities among the Association’s members;
- Educating the Florida legal community and public on historic Jewish law and legal history;
- Supporting the legal rights of Jewish attorneys and judges in Florida; and
- Upholding the highest standards of integrity, ethics, honor, and courtesy of the Association’s members in the legal profession.

Is the Association for Jewish lawyers only?
Absolutely not; the Association is an inclusive organization. Any lawyer in good standing with the Florida Bar is eligible to apply for membership. The Association welcomes members, and encourages membership, from all faiths and backgrounds.

Can I join if I am outside of Florida?
The Association is a Florida organization; however, if you are interested in setting up a chapter in your jurisdiction outside Florida, please let us know by filling out the contact form on this website.
